Chesapeake Bay Fishing Report 06/26/2010
Good catches of Rockfish from Rock Hall to the Choptank River . The majority of the fish we're finding are between 18-24 inches with some smaller and larger fish as well. Trollers are pulling small Bucktail Tandems and Tsunamis. Chumming and Live Lining are in full swing as well. Many fish being caught right now. The light tackle fishermen in the area are having fun targeting the schooling stripers as well finding more decent schools in the Eastern Bay area. Birds have been active. The Live Lining bite will pick up even more as the Spot spot move north up towards Kent Island . Big perch are also being caught along structure including the Pilings of the Bridges - big black back perch are being found right now. The Flounder bite should be turning on as well as July approaches. Until then keep a tight line and its been a pleasure.
