Designed by Custom Rod Builder, Bill O'Brien, The Cove Chesapeake Series includes 9 rods to cover the spectrum of Striper and Flounder fishing on the Bay
The Roller Guide Trollers

We offer 2 styles, a solid blank fiberglass version and a carbon blend version - each offered as 6' or 6'6".
The solid blank fiberglass is virtually indestructable and has become the go to rod for many of our local charter captains.
The carbon blend versions are much lighter and add a little more excitement to the battle
We've set up two different lengths to accomodate typical trolling spreads. We'll put the 6'0" rods on the back with heavier lures and run the 6'6" rods off the sides with lighter set ups. The additional length of the 6'6" rods allows the lines to more easily clear the lines off the back.
The 5'6" Troller - New TiCH (Titanium Carbide) Guides

The 5'6" troller was introduced last Spring, and has become our best selling rod. This year we went a step further and upgraded the guide inserts to TiCH (Titanium Carbide). These new guides offer incredible abrasion and corrosion resistance. For the most part, folks are using these for tandem lures off the planer boards. These rods are light weight and easy to manuever, so they are perfect for lining up 3 on a side - lined up on the rocket launchers up top or lined up on the holders on the sides.
The 5'6" is also perfect for lighter Bucktail, Tsunami, or Spoon trolling during the summer months.
The Jigging Rods

Tough rods with a fast tip make for great jigging action. We've set these rods up with Fuji DPS reel seats and Pac Bay Hailoy insert guides - quality brand name components you can count on.
We've chosen IM7 carbon for the blanks. Within the carbon spectrum, we feel this is the sweet spot in the balance between weight and strength.
The bottom guide features a double foot frame for a little protection against breakage. We went with single foot guide frames the rest of the way up to minimize weight.
The Flounder Drifter

A 6'6" casting rod set up designed ground up for drifting along the current and grabbing those 25" doormats. This rods is a little stiffer than the jigging rods and features a more parabolic action - so the in the rod is dispersed all along the blank versus a more tip concentrated action.
As with the jigging rods, we are using Fuji DPS reel seats, Pac Bay Hailoy insert guides and IM7 carbon blanks.
The Little Big Stick
The fun stick designed for those summer days on the Bay. The concept for this rod was a light weight rod to have some fun with Perch. Spot and Croaker during the Summer months. But we gave the rod enough backbone to handle those mid sized Rockfish or larger Flounder that might find your offerings enticing. The perfect rod for grabbing a few Spot in the morning as you prepare for a day of live lining.
