Shore Tackle Update 06/06/10

The Summer fish are starting to arrive in Mid Bay now.  We've seen some smaller Blues.  Some Flounder have been caught in the Eastern Bay.  The Croaker should be here any time as water temps move through the mid 70s.  There have been some reports of Spot at the mouth of the Choptank gathered around the #10 buoy.

Chumming has started at the usual locations, most notably Love Point.

Trollers continue to do well on lighter rigs - bucktail tandems, lighter parachutes and Tsunamis.  Folks are catching 20"-30" fish working back and forth across the channel.

The light tackle jigging action has been good in the Eatern Bay as well.  You will likely have to invest some time finding them first.  5" and 7" Bass Assassins on a jig head are all you need.

Below are a couple helpful links to rigs and product for fishing this month........
