Shore Tackle Update 04/29/10

The Spring Trophy Season is now in full swing.  We've had several reports of fish over 40 inches - and plenty in the 35-40 inch range.  Particular areas of interest so far this season have been Deale, the area just south of the Thomas Point light - between the light and the mouth of the South River and deeper water east of Bloody Point up to the 84 buoy.

As expected, folks have done well on lighter tandems off the planer boards.  Last weekend, we had an unusually high number reports of fish caught a little deeper - lures down 20-30 feet in 50-60 feet of water.

Consensus seems to be running lighter rigs higher in the water off the boards and dropping a few lures, parachutes or heavier tandems, deeper off the back.
