Chesapeake native Capt. Chris Dollar has more than 30 years experience leading outdoor adventures on the Chesapeake Bay. Each trip is customized to meet the clients goals for an enjoyable day on the water. We also offer bottom fishing trips and crabbing excursions - ideal for beginners and families - as well as and eco-tours.
We fish with fly or light tackle on Native Watercraft kayaks - the most stable fishing yaks on the water. We use only top-quality equipment including Daiwa reels and St. Croix rods. We also offer bottom fishing trips and crabbing excursions-ideal for families.
Our goal is to have fun and catch fish. We do our best on both fronts, but please keep in mind every day on the water is different: one trip we may catch dozens of fish and the next it could be a grind. No guarantees in fishing. We also strongly encourage catch-and-release.
Seasons, Services and Rates
Kayak Fishing: $425.00. Up to four (4) hours. May thru October. Kayaks, fishing tackle and lifevest provided.
Family Fishing & Crabbing Trips: $550.00. Up to five (5) hours. May thru October. Four total passengers, up to three adults (3) max.
Eco-Tours: $70.00 per hour, two (2) hour minimum, up to 4 hours. May thru October. An up-close look at the Chesapeake's incredible wildlife.
Instructional Trips: Fully licensed by U.S. Coast Guard, Capt. Dollar received a National Safe Boating Council instructor certification. Services include:
- Basic navigation, close-quarter and docking skills.
- Fishing rigging, tactics, knots and casting.
Payment: Payments can be made with cash, check, Venmo or online via credit card*. No deposit is required for to reserve your trip. However, client must pay in full 15 days prior to trip date.
Cancellation & Refund Policy: Client may cancel reservations with no charge up to 10 days prior to reserved date. If client cancels less than 10 days prior to reserved date, a $100 cancellation fee will be applied.
Things happens. Captain reserves the right to cancel reservations at anytime due to weather, mechanical issues or any other unforeseen circumstance. Client has the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.
